Decisions need people. We get them to show up.

Most communities don't struggle to count votes. They struggle to get anyone to cast one. ODO DAO builds D5, voting tools designed around one number: participation.

The problem

The empty room is the real threat to collective decisions.

Homeowner associations, nonprofits, clubs and building committees all run on votes. Most of them struggle with the same thing, and it isn't fraud.

01

Quorum fails

Meetings are called, not enough members come, and the decision waits for next time. Then the next.

02

Tools add friction

Accounts, passwords, app downloads. Every extra step between an invitation and a vote loses people.

03

Silence decides

When participation is low, outcomes reflect who had time to attend, not what the community actually wants.

We treat participation as the product. Security matters; turnout is what's missing.

One family of tools, from a single building to a whole country.

Live MVP

D5 Town

Invite-only polls for the communities you already belong to.

An organizer creates the poll and invites members by email. Members vote with a one-time code sent to their inbox: no account, no password, no app to download.

The organizer controls the invite list, so only the people they choose can take part. Removing the sign-up step is a deliberate choice: it's the step where participation usually drops off.

  • Free for up to 10 participants
  • $0.015 per participant, per question after that
  • Built for HOAs, associations, clubs and building committees

D5 Square

Public polls at local, national and global scale.

Anyone can start a public poll or vote on one. Polls can be recorded on a blockchain, so results can be checked, not just trusted.

Alongside single-choice polls, Square offers weighted polls: each voter splits 100 points across the options. Instead of forcing one answer, results show how strongly people lean, and where opinion is genuinely divided.

Example: one voter's 100 points

D5 Atlas

Synthetic research for faster, cheaper public-opinion insight.

Atlas explores how simulated respondents can help teams test questions and anticipate public sentiment before running a full poll. Real responses from D5 Square and D5 Town are there to check those simulations against.

Atlas is in the concept stage and not yet available.

$2.85

What a 200-member community pays to ask one question on D5 Town.

Popular election tools list at about $20 to $199 per election for the same 200 voters. We price for participation, so saying yes to a vote is never a budget decision.

200 participants, first 10 free, $0.015 each after that. Competitor figures are public per-election list prices as of September 2026.

Why now

The law is catching up with online voting.

New rules in our two core markets make community votes more frequent and more open to digital tools.

California · 2025

Online HOA voting is now permitted

Since January 1, 2025, AB 2159 lets associations that adopt an election rule hold secret-ballot votes online. Members can still ask for a paper ballot.

Maryland · 2025

Board elections must be run independently

Since October 1, 2025, SB 758 (Chapter 512) requires HOA and condo board elections to be run by independent parties, not the property manager. Associations may use a third-party technology platform.

Türkiye · 2026

Every building's budget now needs an owners' vote

Law No. 7579 (May 2026) requires each building's annual operating plan to be approved at the owners' general meeting, and lowers the majority needed to change a multi-building complex's management plan from four-fifths to two-thirds.

Self-managed communities are underserved

Management software is consolidating around large operators. The communities that run themselves need simple, affordable tools they can adopt without a procurement process.

Where we are

Built, live, and ready to grow.

Both products are working MVPs. The next step is putting them in front of communities, starting with self-managed associations in the United States.

  1. Aug 2025

    D5 Square goes live

Public polls with on-chain recording and 100-point weighted voting.

  2. May 2026

    D5 Town launches

Invite-only polls with email one-time-code voting. No sign-up for participants.

  3. May 2026

    Payments in place

Usage-based pricing live, with card payments handled by Stripe.

  4. Next

    Community growth

Bringing D5 Town to self-managed associations, clubs and building committees, starting in the US.

What we measure

Sign-ups are easy to inflate. We track the numbers that show whether a community actually relies on D5.

01

Communities running polls

Organizations, not individual accounts, are our unit of growth.

02

Second-poll rate

How many communities come back for another vote. One poll is a trial; two is a habit.

03

Participation rate

The share of invited members who vote. It's the problem we exist to solve.

We share current figures, with team-seeded activity separated out, in our investor materials.

ODO DAO logo
Why "ODO"

Named after a thinker who imagined a society built on shared decisions.

Odo is the visionary whose ideas found a new world in Ursula K. Le Guin's The Dispossessed. We borrowed the name because we believe the same thing her story does: people can decide together, if the way they decide is fair, open and easy to join.

ODO DAO LLC is a US company, operating in the United States and Türkiye.

"Every time there was a big expansion in the world's economic activity, it was generally induced by the creation of a new form of trust."
